Single moms educational path eases, thanks to donation to UBTech Submitted by UBTech Shannon Woodward, a trustee representing the Stella H. Oaks Foundation and vice president of Development, signs an agreement with UBTech President Aaron K. Weight to donate $75,000 to the college. The scholarship will fund tuition and other educational expenses for single mothers over a 5-year period. The Stella H. Law enforcement agencies are hiring, encourage candidates to attend UBTech’s POST Academy Law enforcement officials in Duchesne and Uintah counties are looking for qualified applicants to fill open positions in their departments. They remind those interested that training for a career in law enforcement is available through Uintah Basin Technical College. Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Satellite Academy at UBTech will soon begin its 12th session at the Roosevelt campus. UBTech is one of nine locations in Utah that offer the POST Academy. Thirteen UBTech students compete at Nationals SkillsUSA Written by, UBTech Uintah Basin Technical College sent 13 students to Louisville, Kentucky recently to represent the college and the state of Utah at the Nationals SkillsUSA competition. This event occupies a space equivalent to 20 football fields, with more than 6,200 contestants testing their skills in over 100 separate events.
