Attention students interested in programs in health professions: off-site clinical experiences at one or more healthcare facilities are required to finish our programs in Medical Assistant, Nursing Assistant, Practical Nursing, Pharmacy Technician and Surgical Technician. Due to the federal vaccine mandate from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the local clinical facilities may require employees, college faculty working within their facilities, and UBTech students participating in off-site clinical experiences to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or receive approval for a qualified clinical facility exemption prior to program enrollment. For more information, please visit with a Student Success Officer.

Welcome to UBTech, we are pleased to have you on campus. It is going to be a great year!

Recently, the State Board of Higher Education issued a letter regarding student vaccinations at higher education institutions. We want to assure our entire college community that we care about your safety. We strongly encourage you to be vaccinated to help mitigate the risk of contracting and transmitting COVID-19.

We request those feeling sick remain at home. Presently, there are no vaccination requirements for students to attend UBTech. This decision could be reversed, if necessary, as we continue to monitor COVID-19 cases in the Uintah Basin and the science surrounding the virus. Current science indicates the best way each of us can help reduce COVID-19 cases and transmission is to get vaccinated.

We expect you to take all precautions to keep yourself, your classmates, and your colleagues safe from the effects of the COVID-19 virus. See the information below for guidance if you feel you are symptomatic or test positive for COVID-19.

UBTech students are the best; thank you for doing your part to ensure we all enjoy a healthy and successful year!

If you test positive for COVID-19, notify your instructor or supervisor, and follow the recommendations given to you by your medical physician in consultation with the TriCounty Health Department before returning to campus.

If UBTech employees have further questions please contact the HR department at 435-722-6932.
